[ET Net News Agency, 10 April 2026] GUOTAI JUNAN I (01788) rose 27.7% to HK$3.09. It
recorded a turnover of 309.95 million shares of HK$859.88m. It hits an intra-day high of
HK$3.13, rewriting a new 1-month high, and an intra-day low of HK$2.45. It triggered the
Volatility Control Mechanism (VCM) at 1:15p.m., putting it on a 5-minute cooling-off
period, with trading price range limiting between HK$2.23 and HK$3.01. The cooling-off
period ends at 1:20p.m.
GUOTAI JUNAN I is a constituent of the Hang Seng Composite MidCap Index. When its share
price fluctuates more than 15% compared to the last trading price five minutes ago, the
VCM is triggered. VCM offers a cooling-off period of 5 minutes for the market and limits
the trading price range. It then resumes normal trading. VCM is only applicable to the
continuous trading session (CTS), excluding the first 15 minutes of the morning and
afternoon trading session, and the last 15 minutes of the afternoon trading session. (ed)
