HK$228.68 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$40.01 billion, or 17.5% of the
market's turnover. There were 744 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.14 billion and HK$3.11
billion, or 10.36% and 7.76% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 61.32% and 22.32% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$2.68 billion and HK$1.75 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.7% and 4.36% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 36.86% and 14.3% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.005, or 0.09%, to HK$5.81. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.2, or
0.77%, to HK$26.26. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.78, or 0.83% to HK$94.46. BABA-W declined by
HK$1.9, or 1.15%, to HK$163.2.
