[ET Net News Agency, 6 May 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$124.49
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$18.14 billion, or 14.57% of the market's
turnover. There were 683 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.48 billion and HK$2.32 billion, or
19.2% and 12.81% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
29% and 37.4% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$1.08 billion and HK$1.02
billion of short sales, accounting for 5.95% and 5.65% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 17.3% and 30.53% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.16, or 0.71%, to HK$22.82. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.18, or
0.21%, to HK$84.76. MEITUAN-W rose HK$6, or 4.53% to HK$138.5. CSOP HS TECH declined by
HK$0.01, or 0.19%, to HK$5.13.
