[ET Net News Agency, 16 June 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$130.89
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$14.51 billion, or 11.09% of the market's
turnover. There were 673 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.02 billion and HK$826.48 million, or
7.06% and 5.7% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
31.15% and 14.47% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$706.55 million and HK$605.42 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.87% and 4.17% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 18.11% and 9.1% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.01, or 0.19%, to HK$5.16. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.18, or
0.2%, to HK$89.54. BABA-W fell HK$0.2, or 0.18% to HK$111.8. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$2, or
3.85%, to HK$53.95.
