[ET Net News Agency, 17 June 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$108.12
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$12.74 billion, or 11.78% of the market's
turnover. There were 672 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.8 billion and HK$1.05 billion, or
14.12% and 8.23% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
40.26% and 30.72% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$502.46 million and HK$437.2 million of
short sales, accounting for 3.94% and 3.43% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 13.68% and 17% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.01, or 0.19%, to HK$5.205. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.22,
or 0.24%, to HK$90.14. BABA-W rose HK$1.8, or 1.59% to HK$114.7. POP MART declined by
HK$10.8, or 3.93%, to HK$264.2.
