[ET Net News Agency, 19 June 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$123.32
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$14.79 billion, or 12% of the market's
turnover. There were 680 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and MEITUAN-W (03690) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.89 billion and HK$528.66 million, or
12.79% and 3.57% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
37.53% and 14.5% of respective stock's turnover.
XL2CSOPHSTECH (07226) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$502.12 million and HK$446.31
million of short sales, accounting for 3.39% and 3.02% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 65.72% and 13.52% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed down HK$1.9, or 2.14%, to HK$87.04. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$4.1, or
3.08%, to HK$129.2. XL2CSOPHSTECH fell HK$0.22, or 4.45% to HK$4.726. BABA-W declined by
HK$2.1, or 1.87%, to HK$110.1.
