billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$36.05 billion, or 16.21% of the market's
turnover. There were 707 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TENCENT (00700) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.21 billion and HK$2.17 billion, or 8.89%
and 6.03% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 26.96%
and 20.96% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$1.95 billion and HK$1.44 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.4% and 3.99% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 37.55% and 14.73% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$1.7, or 1.55%, to HK$111.7. TENCENT ended up HK$7.5, or 1.51%, to
HK$505.5. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.038, or 0.76% to HK$5.03. POP MART declined by HK$9, or
3.62%, to HK$239.6.
