[ET Net News Agency, 31 July 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$167.18
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$25.11 billion, or 15.02% of the market's
turnover. There were 684 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and MEITUAN-W (03690)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.57 billion and HK$2.45 billion, or
14.21% and 9.74% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
61.73% and 35.16% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$1.48 billion and HK$1.07 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.89% and 4.25% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 23.1% and 12.73% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.02, or 0.37%, to HK$5.415. MEITUAN-W ended down HK$4.9, or
3.85%, to HK$122.5. BABA-W rose HK$0.2, or 0.17% to HK$117.3. TRACKER FUND declined by
HK$0.28, or 1.09%, to HK$25.38.
