[ET Net News Agency, 31 July 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$320.63
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$51.31 billion, or 16% of the market's
turnover. There were 727 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.61 billion and HK$4.71
billion, or 12.88% and 9.17% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 57.65% and 26.15% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$3.48 billion and HK$2.82 billion
of short sales, accounting for 6.77% and 5.5% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 29.68% and 20.47% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.04, or 0.74%, to HK$5.355. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.4,
or 1.56%, to HK$25.26. MEITUAN-W fell HK$5.8, or 4.55% to HK$121.6. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$1.54, or 1.67%, to HK$90.94.
