[ET Net News Agency, 1 August 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$119.8
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$16.04 billion, or 13.39% of the market's
turnover. There were 707 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and MEITUAN-W (03690)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.43 billion and HK$1.17 billion, or
8.93% and 7.29% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
29.74% and 30.59% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$758.51 million and HK$656.06
million of short sales, accounting for 4.73% and 4.09% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 10.91% and 30.45% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.005, or 0.09%, to HK$5.35. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$2.7, or
2.22%, to HK$124.3. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.06, or 0.24% to HK$25.2. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$0.02, or 0.02%, to HK$90.92.
