[ET Net News Agency, 4 August 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$126.53
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.65 billion, or 16.32% of the market's
turnover. There were 709 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.94 billion and HK$1.42
billion, or 19.06% and 6.88% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 23.02% and 26.99% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.15 billion and HK$987.08 million
of short sales, accounting for 5.59% and 4.78% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 20.11% and 45.96% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.12, or 0.48%, to HK$25.1. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.05, or
0.94%, to HK$5.35. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.46, or 0.51% to HK$90.54. MEITUAN-W declined by
HK$0.6, or 0.49%, to HK$121.6.
