billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$38.43 billion, or 16.38% of the market's
turnover. There were 732 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.8 billion and HK$2.38
billion, or 12.49% and 6.21% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 15.08% and 26.95% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$2.08 billion and HK$1.85 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.42% and 4.8% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 22.02% and 17.66% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.22, or 0.88%, to HK$25.2. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.07, or
1.32%, to HK$5.37. TENCENT rose HK$15, or 2.8% to HK$550. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$0.9, or 1%,
to HK$90.98.
