[ET Net News Agency, 5 August 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$229.4
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$40.02 billion, or 17.45% of the market's
turnover. There were 718 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.35 billion and HK$2.11 billion, or
15.86% and 5.28% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
34.88% and 35.59% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$1.81 billion and HK$1.3 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.52% and 3.24% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 18.77% and 27.64% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.16, or 0.63%, to HK$25.36. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.54, or
0.59%, to HK$91.52. TENCENT rose HK$9, or 1.64% to HK$559. CSOP HS TECH jumped HK$0.05, or
0.93%, to HK$5.42.
