[ET Net News Agency, 18 September 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$413.31 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$50.44 billion, or 12.2% of the
market's turnover. There were 766 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.56 billion and HK$4.79
billion, or 11.02% and 9.51% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 29.44% and 14.22% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BIDU-SW (09888) registered HK$2.76 billion and HK$2.56 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.47% and 5.08% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 21.81% and 36.53% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.34, or 1.24%, to HK$27.18. BABA-W ended down HK$3.2, or
1.98%, to HK$158.4. HSCEI ETF fell HK$1.4, or 1.43% to HK$96.58. BIDU-SW jumped HK$1.8, or
1.37%, to HK$132.8.
