[ET Net News Agency, 19 September 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$376.81 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$52.47 billion, or 13.93% of the
market's turnover. There were 767 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$8.46 billion and HK$4.18
billion, or 16.12% and 7.97% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 37.13% and 30.1% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and BIDU-SW (09888) registered HK$3.6 billion and HK$2.53 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.86% and 4.82% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 16.23% and 47.95% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.02, or 0.07%, to HK$27.2. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.62, or
0.64%, to HK$97.2. BABA-W rose HK$0.7, or 0.44% to HK$159.1. BIDU-SW declined by HK$1.3,
or 0.98%, to HK$131.5.
