[ET Net News Agency, 22 September 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$164.78 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$24.8 billion, or 15.05% of the
market's turnover. There were 729 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.03 billion and HK$2.42
billion, or 12.21% and 9.76% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 40.95% and 31.03% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$1.76 billion and HK$1.69 billion of
short sales, accounting for 7.1% and 6.8% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 17.49% and 39.91% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.07, or 1.13%, to HK$6.105. TRACKER FUND ended down
HK$0.28, or 1.03%, to HK$26.92. BABA-W fell HK$0.5, or 0.31% to HK$158.6. HSCEI ETF
declined by HK$1.66, or 1.71%, to HK$95.54.
