[ET Net News Agency, 23 September 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$294.56 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$41.4 billion, or 14.06% of the
market's turnover. There were 762 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.01 billion and HK$4.05
billion, or 14.52% and 9.79% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 24.97% and 21.31% of respective stock's turnover.
BIDU-SW (09888) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$1.76 billion and HK$1.62 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.25% and 3.9% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 36.87% and 27.05% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.16, or 0.59%, to HK$26.8. BABA-W ended up HK$0.2, or
0.13%, to HK$159.4. BIDU-SW fell HK$7.3, or 5.38% to HK$128.4. MEITUAN-W declined by
HK$2.9, or 2.79%, to HK$101.
