[ET Net News Agency, 26 September 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$323.67 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$43.79 billion, or 13.53% of the
market's turnover. There were 773 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and XIAOMI-W
(01810) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.1 billion and HK$3.49
billion, or 9.36% and 7.97% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 15.91% and 14.95% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$2.77 billion and HK$2.54
billion of short sales, accounting for 6.33% and 5.8% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 18.21% and 20.14% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$5.5, or 3.2%, to HK$166.5. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$4.8, or 8.07%,
to HK$54.65. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.36, or 1.33% to HK$26.78. HSCEI ETF declined by
HK$1.54, or 1.6%, to HK$94.96.
