HK$178.7 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.85 billion, or 12.22% of the
market's turnover. There were 725 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT
(00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.4 billion and HK$1.36
billion, or 6.4% and 6.23% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 15.48% and 17.65% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.06 billion and HK$1.05 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.86% and 4.8% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 16.39% and 12.41% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.19, or 0.72%, to HK$26.62. TENCENT ended up HK$15.5, or
2.4%, to HK$660.5. MEITUAN-W rose HK$4, or 4% to HK$104. BABA-W jumped HK$2.8, or 1.64%,
to HK$173.8.
