HK$353.8 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$56.37 billion, or 15.93% of the
market's turnover. There were 775 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$8.75 billion and HK$3.45
billion, or 15.52% and 6.12% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 30.72% and 17.82% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$3.12 billion and HK$2.41 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.53% and 4.27% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 21.86% and 15.77% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.03, or 0.11%, to HK$26.4. BABA-W ended up HK$1.1, or
0.64%, to HK$172.1. TENCENT rose HK$6, or 0.93% to HK$651. CSOP HS TECH declined by
HK$0.025, or 0.42%, to HK$5.935.
