HK$120.37 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.52 billion, or 16.22% of the
market's turnover. There were 724 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.03 billion and HK$938.33
million, or 15.54% and 4.81% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 41.27% and 12.36% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$927.38 million and HK$740.97 million of
short sales, accounting for 4.75% and 3.8% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 22.32% and 17.16% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.01, or 0.17%, to HK$5.8. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.08, or
0.3%, to HK$26.34. TENCENT rose HK$10.5, or 1.67% to HK$638.5. BABA-W declined by HK$1.1,
or 0.67%, to HK$162.1.
