[ET Net News Agency, 4 November 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$239.99 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$43.28 billion, or 18.03% of the
market's turnover. There were 763 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT
(00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$6.36 billion and HK$1.9
billion, or 14.69% and 4.39% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 47.84% and 20.07% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND (02800) registered HK$1.76 billion and HK$1.68 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.06% and 3.88% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 12.24% and 14.04% of respective stock's
turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.105, or 1.81%, to HK$5.705. TENCENT ended up HK$1, or
0.16%, to HK$629. BABA-W fell HK$4.2, or 2.57% to HK$159. TRACKER FUND declined by
HK$0.22, or 0.84%, to HK$26.04.
