[ET Net News Agency, 5 November 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$138.23 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.34 billion, or 13.99% of the
market's turnover. There were 744 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.21 billion and HK$896.99
million, or 6.24% and 4.64% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 12.8% and 10.67% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$867.18 million and HK$841.13
million of short sales, accounting for 4.48% and 4.35% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 17.2% and 20.97% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed down HK$1, or 0.63%, to HK$158. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.04, or 0.15%,
to HK$26. TENCENT rose HK$1, or 0.16% to HK$630. CSOP HS TECH declined by HK$0.04, or
0.7%, to HK$5.665.
