[ET Net News Agency, 23 December 2025] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$87.29 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$12.26 billion, or 14.04% of the
market's turnover. There were 751 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.74 billion and HK$1.06
billion, or 14.19% and 8.64% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 30.96% and 36.34% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$593.59 million and HK$579.86 million
of short sales, accounting for 4.84% and 4.73% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 11.96% and 21.04% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.06, or 0.23%, to HK$26.06. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.22, or
0.24%, to HK$91.74. TENCENT fell HK$9, or 1.46% to HK$605.5. XIAOMI-W declined by HK$0.66,
or 1.66%, to HK$39.14.
