[ET Net News Agency, 23 December 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$157.13 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$24.31 billion, or 15.47% of the
market's turnover. There were 802 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.54 billion and HK$1.62
billion, or 10.43% and 6.68% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 28.63% and 37.38% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.29 billion and HK$1.06 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.32% and 4.35% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 18.44% and 11.18% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.04, or 0.15%, to HK$25.96. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.24,
or 0.26%, to HK$91.28. BABA-W rose HK$0.8, or 0.55% to HK$147.2. TENCENT declined by
HK$12.5, or 2.03%, to HK$602.
