HK$291.76 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$41.98 billion, or 14.39% of the
market's turnover. There were 807 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.51 billion and HK$3.68
billion, or 10.75% and 8.76% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 45.55% and 21.67% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and PING AN (02318) registered HK$2.59 billion and HK$2.44 billion
of short sales, accounting for 6.18% and 5.81% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 17.13% and 33.21% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$1, or 1.07%, to HK$94.66. BABA-W ended down HK$2, or 1.31%, to
HK$150.8. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.36, or 1.36% to HK$26.88. PING AN jumped HK$3.4, or
4.96%, to HK$72.
