HK$315.11 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$65.07 billion, or 20.65% of the
market's turnover. There were 827 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$14.86 billion and HK$5 billion,
or 22.84% and 7.68% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 51.22% and 35.58% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$3.58 billion and HK$2.77 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.5% and 4.25% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 8.23% and 19.67% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.02, or 0.07%, to HK$27.1. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.42, or
0.45%, to HK$93.1. TENCENT rose HK$0.5, or 0.09% to HK$558.5. BABA-W jumped HK$0.1, or
0.06%, to HK$159.6.
