[ET Net News Agency, 6 February 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$247.87 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$47.76 billion, or 19.27% of the
market's turnover. There were 834 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT
(00700) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$7.79 billion and HK$2.97
billion, or 16.31% and 6.22% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 66.66% and 15.25% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$2.37 billion and HK$1.02 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.95% and 2.13% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 19.56% and 21.54% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.05, or 0.95%, to HK$5.23. TENCENT ended down HK$11, or
1.97%, to HK$547.5. BABA-W fell HK$4.6, or 2.88% to HK$155. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$0.26, or
0.74%, to HK$35.18.
