billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$74.15 billion, or 24.21% of the market's
turnover. There were 854 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF (02828)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$19.88 billion and HK$5.9 billion, or
26.81% and 7.96% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
67.12% and 47.34% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$4.7 billion and HK$4.36 billion
of short sales, accounting for 6.33% and 5.88% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 51.45% and 14.14% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.52, or 1.98%, to HK$25.76. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$1.46,
or 1.61%, to HK$89.02. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.12, or 2.4% to HK$4.88. TENCENT declined by
HK$37.5, or 6.81%, to HK$513.
