[ET Net News Agency, 24 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$149.59
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$28.22 billion, or 18.87% of the market's
turnover. There were 804 short-selling stocks. HSCEI ETF (02828) and TRACKER FUND (02800)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.71 billion and HK$3.41 billion, or
13.15% and 12.07% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 41.64% and 23.1% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.57 billion and HK$1.35 billion
of short sales, accounting for 5.55% and 4.79% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 28.97% and 21.6% of respective stock's
turnover.
HSCEI ETF closed up HK$1.1, or 1.29%, to HK$86.2. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.42, or
1.7%, to HK$25.12. CSOP HS TECH rose HK$0.062, or 1.35% to HK$4.668. TENCENT jumped
HK$9.1, or 1.83%, to HK$507.5.
