[ET Net News Agency, 30 March 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$154.83
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$27.06 billion, or 17.48% of the market's
turnover. There were 825 short-selling stocks. TENCENT (00700) and BYD COMPANY (01211) saw
higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.54 billion and HK$1.44 billion, or 5.68%
and 5.31% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 19.67%
and 40.88% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and POP MART (09992) registered HK$1.35 billion and HK$1.1 billion
of short sales, accounting for 4.98% and 4.05% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 16.59% and 20.89% of respective stock's
turnover.
TENCENT closed down HK$11, or 2.23%, to HK$482.4. BYD COMPANY ended up HK$0.1, or 0.09%,
to HK$106.6. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.22, or 0.87% to HK$24.98. POP MART jumped HK$3, or
2.01%, to HK$152.6.
