[ET Net News Agency, 2 April 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$116.2
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.8 billion, or 17.9% of the market's
turnover. There were 800 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and XIAOMI-W (01810)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.03 billion and HK$1.56 billion, or
9.74% and 7.5% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
37.71% and 36.56% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$858.26 million and HK$723.4
million of short sales, accounting for 4.13% and 3.48% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 38.41% and 17.27% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.24, or 0.94%, to HK$25.3. XIAOMI-W ended down HK$1.32, or
4.12%, to HK$30.7. CSOP HS TECH fell HK$0.1, or 2.15% to HK$4.546. BABA-W declined by
HK$4.3, or 3.5%, to HK$118.4.
