PMQ, Central | Seed 2025: Senses Unleashed at Central PMQ

Description
Creativity is a process. Every texture, every sound, every whiff of scent can spark inspiration. We may be able to see the shape of sound, dance beyond memory, or paint the wind's posture with our bodies.
Our usual five senses — sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch, along with 'proprioception' and 'vestibular sense' related to bodily perception, not only serve the function of receiving messages but also hold creative potential. This year's PMQ Seed, themed 'Senses in Play', encourages students to explore their surroundings through these seven senses, fostering empathy and actively responding to societal changes.
A plethora of activities designed to stimulate the senses await 'E-types' who are action-oriented and 'I-types' who are more introspective. We believe that if students are willing to embark on a self-initiated exploration of the seven senses and interconnect their sensory experiences, it may spark even more creativity.
As a creative educational initiative funded by the Creative Industries Development Fund, PMQ Seed continues its partnership with local creative design teams this year. Together, they organize a diverse range of creative activities, including the 'Creativity Camp', 'Kids Creative Fest', 'Mentor Training Workshops', and 'Online Educational Resources', while also participating in the 'Asia Education Expo'. We invite children and teenagers aged 6 to 14, educators, and parents to join us in this journey of creation, sometimes in stillness and sometimes in motion!
Kids Creative Fest — Inspiration Power Station
This year, we transform PMQ into an 'Inspiration Power Station' for the Kids Creative Fest. PMQ Seed and architectural design team AaaM Architects join forces with five local creative units and over 300 Primary 4 to 6 students, our 'Inspiration Engineers', to explore the seven senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste, proprioception, and vestibular sense). Using design thinking, they will create a total of 54 highly interactive 'Inspiration Power Stations' over nine days.
Meanwhile, PMQ offers a variety of experiential classes and creative activities to connect people of all ages, inviting them to embark on a journey of creation sparked by the senses. We believe that true creative energy stems from rich life experiences, a perceptive mind, and a curious spirit. Every perception and every response are acts of generating inspiration.
Step into the 'Inspiration Power Station' and ignite your inspirational circuits.
