The theme of this concert is 'What is Love?'. We will be using the hulhu and guzheng to interpret songs from the 1940s to the 1990s that are themed around love and its many complexities. The songs express a range of emotional changes and outcomes of love stories. The repertoire includes: 'I Have a Romance', 'Hate Not Being in Love in Those Years', 'Unforgettable Love', 'Lover's Tears', 'Obsessive Tears', 'Forget All the Love in My Heart', 'Love Has Passed', 'Never Deeply Loved, Now Heartless', 'Love is Heavier than Rain', 'Rarely a Lover', 'Only Love Remains', 'Love Trap', 'I am Infinitely Obsessive', 'Firmly in Love and Righteous', and 'Repentance'. We hope to bring out the original emotional essence of these songs and give the audience a refreshing experience.
