In the hot summer, the enthusiasm for environmental protection remains unabated. From 25 to 26 July 2026, 'Green in Kwun Tong' was invited to hold a two-day 'Summer Green Source without Waste' carnival event at the ground floor (atrium) of Lai Kok Shopping Mall, under the management of Chi Fu Asset Management Limited. The event includes various booths promoting waste reduction with mosquito repellent products, small games, workshops encouraging reuse of old items, and sharing of information on daily life.

Over the two days, using old denim collected with the help of the mall, participants can handcraft mobile phone straps or beautiful rose brooches. It's both practical and aesthetically pleasing, so don't hesitate and sign up for the upcycling workshop now! On 25 July only, #ORBA Integrated Environmental (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. will present the 'WEEE Clamping Game' booth to promote knowledge about 'four electrical appliances and one computer'. #Eco-Education Foundation Limited will also be there with a 'Plastic-Free Bean Bag Pitching Game' booth, turning everyone into pitching experts who can accurately pitch common plastic items. On 26 July only, #Farmers' Farm will share their knowledge on hydroponics and experience in making eco-friendly insecticides. They will also host a hydroponic herb cup workshop, along with a delicious vegetarian snack station, introducing everyone to more low-carbon and healthy snack options. With such a rich variety of environmental protection activities, you'll gain a wealth of green information and develop greener habits.

In addition to environmental information and recycling games, the event also features eco-enzyme making, mosquito repellent spray (bring your own container), and a 'waste-free' recycling station. You can not only participate in the booths but also do recycling to earn double points (Green Points and the mall's corresponding Point+; remember to show your proof of points). Of course, there will also be second-hand item redemption, so come and explore and hunt for treasures! With such a full programme, this opportunity is not to be missed!
