Presented by Lucida Music Studio, Jazz Up: The 9th Note is set to captivate audiences with its vibrant exploration of jazz through the unique medium of recorder music. Led by the director Louisa Man and featuring students, the Luci Flautists, and special guest, Eddie Lau, along with cellist, guitarist, and pianist. Collaborating schools also join in, creating a vibrant musical community atmosphere.
The concert highlights the recorder with piano and vocals. The first half features ensemble performances, while the second half focuses on soloists across these instruments. Expect enchanting pieces like Fly Me to the Moon, the lively I Got Rhythm, and the innovative Für Elise Boogie Woogie.
As we mark the studio’s ninth anniversary, this concert aims to elevate appreciation for recorder music and provide young musicians with valuable stage experience for future international exchanges. Join us for a memorable evening where jazz meets the recorder in a celebration of artistry and community.
